Kiss-In Nice - April 3

A special kiss-in was organised in support of Steve (left in photo) and Romuald (right), who on March 27 were victims of an extremely violent homophobic attack in broad daylight in a public garden in the city... the kiss-in took place at the scene of the attack.

KISS-IN INTERNATIONAL CONTRE L'HOMOPHOBIE !

Kissing against homophobia : “Let’s Go Outside, in the sunshine…”

We know you want to... but, sadly in most countries, gay people can’t even kiss each other or hold hands in the streets!

Even worse, in the most open-minded countries, two guys or two girls kissing in the streets will still draw attention, get stared at, frowned at, scorned at, insulted and sometimes even mugged... whereas a straight couple will go unnoticed.

Quite unfair don’t you think?

Fortunately, there’s an easy, peaceful & friendly way to protest and try to change people’s mind... PUBLIC KISS-INS.

What’s a kiss-in?

The principle behind the Kiss-In is the simplest ever... participants gather at a predetermined place & time and mingle with the crowd as they go about their business... when you hear the whistle blow - start kissing your partner for five minutes.

The aim is to encourage GLBTIQ boys and girls to uphold their sexual orientation without fear, and make homosexual tender gestures part of everyday life for everyone through a peaceful, friendly and informal event... outside of the traditional aggressive way of protesting.

Everyone is invited to kiss against homophobia & intolerance... straight, gay, lesbian, trans and intersex people, couples or singletons - a kiss does not discriminate.
